Finley Belle Turns 1

Our little girl Turned One yesterday. I just can’t believe it, it feels like I was just pregnant with her. She is no longer a baby, but now a toddler. Showing us lots of attitude and throwing little fits. We had a small party for her. Uncle Scott, Auntie Kacy and Grandma and Grandpa Hillman all came to celebrate! Finley didn’t really know what to do with the Pinata but Daddy had fun helping her whack it around and get the candy out. Finley had a wonderful day equiped with tons of sugar and fun presents! Thanks to everyone who sent her cards and gifts. We love you and Miss you!

Finley’s 1st Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Today is Finley’s very first Christmas. She seemed to enjoy it. She wasn’t so sure about opening gifts when she was allowed to, only when mommy and daddy say no is when she wants to tear them open. Silly girl. Heres some photos of our morning. Sugar Cookies

This Christmas eve we spent the day at home relaxing and baking. I made sugar cookies and we all decorated them. We had lots of fun especially Fin. She had a blast eating frosting. The whole time all I could hear was the smacking of her lips. This girl sure does love her sweets! Fin and I also got to open our christmas Jams before bed! This is a tradition of ours and Finley’s first pair of christmas jams. These jams are the same ones that she wore the day she was born, just in a big girl style and size.

Welcome to our family blog

I probably should have created this, oh maybe a year ago. When Finley was first born so everyone could stay up to date with how big she is getting and how we are all doing. So I’m a year late, better late than never right? Since we are in Alaska away from most of our family I thought it was about time to start up this blog to keep everyone updated.

This is our first christmas as a family this year! We are so excited to see Finley’s reaction on christmas morning to that tree with lots of fun presents underneath. She has been taking ornaments off of it and handing them to mommy for weeks now. We no longer have ornaments on the bottom half of the tree. After a few broken ones we learned to move them all up out of this very curious little girl’s reach.

Jenn got a new Camera and has been playing around with it, so we will post lots of great photos of christmas morning to share with all you! Above are a few I took today. We can’t believe how big she is and that she will be a year old on saturday, the time sure does fly by! We love and miss all of you and hope you have a Merry Christmas!
