I adore anything and everything Petunia Pickle Bottom , I mean who doesn’t? Their gorgeous diaper bags, wallets, train cases, Ergobaby carriers, are all to die for and the list goes on. Did you know they even make iPhone cases? How sweet is that? I love how they offer such style and class for that busy mama who may not feel stylish!
Petunia Pickle Bottom sent us a Stroll stroller bunting to review. I have used other buntings for car seats and strollers before, but this one certainly outdid itself. Not only is it of course beautiful and bright, it is functional, soft and cozy warm. Josie loves to suck on the furry inside and rub her little fingers on it and I love the looks and the fact that I know Josie is extra cozy wherever we go, no matter the climate. The Stroll isn’t overly heavy so if the sun is shining and the wind is blowing I feel that it is the perfect protection for her. Not too cool but she is not sweating or overheated either. It gets warm here in the summers but it can all get stormy and rainy from time to time and if we are out in the heat and rain mixed this still is nice to have to protect Josie from the rain.
All in all I’m very impressed with this product, esthetically and functionally.
I found this recipe on Pinterest while looking for a great Chewy oatmeal cookies recipe. These turned out amazing, the flavor and the texture were absolutely perfect! Filled up the cookie jar, and it was empty in no time. I also added chocolate chips instead of the nuts! Enjoy!!!
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup butter, melted (1½ sticks)
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 egg yolk
1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
1 heaping cup raisins
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans or 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Melt butter and let cool slightly.
Mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the cinnamon, vanilla, egg, and egg yolk for 2-3 minutes until light and creamy. Mix in the flour mixture until just blended. Add the oats, nuts, and raisins. Mix until just blended.
Place 1/4 cup balls of dough onto parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 14-16 minutes. Do not overbake. Remember I’m at sea level so if you aren’t you may need longer. The edges should look brown and the centers still slightly soft. Let the cookies rest on the cookie sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
