Baby girl headbands have been a must this time around for my little Josie girl. As always Etsy has a wonderful selection of shops that offer handmade girly pieces for the hair or for the head. (For those bald babes out there like mine.) I came across Claire’s Flair and fell in love with her felt flower headbands. Her style is different and unique and I love the felt, something different from those huge satin flowers I see so often these days. Josies head is far too tiny for those giant flowers right now, so these seemed perfect and very fitting for my girly.
Andrea a former Neonatal ICU nurse before her darling daughter was born, got into this business when she ordered a beautiful felt flower headband from someone on Etsy for her babies baptism. She went back to the same shop a few months later to order something else and the owner had stopped making them. Andrea loves to use felt to make the headbands. Her customers being 100% happy is VERY important to her and she trys to get all her orders out within 48 hours of receiving them so they usually arrive within a week or less.
Andrea also loves custom orders, and is happy and excited to create something that she may have not thought of. She can match outfits, nurseries, big/little sisters ect. And will work with a customer until they are completely happy with the end result!
I love the headbands Andrea sent. They turned out gorgeous and I love that she even did a matching one for Finley as well. So cute and so sweet!
Lately I have been struggling coming up with new ideas for dinners throughout the week. I love to cook, but I feel like I’m in such a slump on coming up with good dinners these days. Maybe because I have 2 toddlers and a newborn? Hmm..that could be it! Anyhoo, I decided that meal planning is probably something I should jump on board with. This way I know what to grab at the grocery store without having to run down in the middle of making a meal because I don’t have one ingredient. Plus it makes me so much more organized knowing what is ahead of me for the day and how much prep time I need to get dinner ready. tonight’s dinner, is PW’s Comfort Meatballs with Mashed Potatoes and a salad. These meatballs were so easy to put together, took me about 20 minutes in the kitchen while the kids napped, and now I have time to grab The Hunger Games and get to reading before the movie comes out. Again with the 3 babes thing, it is kind of hard to sit down and read a book, takes me a bit to get through one. Jeesh these darn cute kids, keeping me from my me time. Ha! All I need to do now is pop them in the oven 45 minutes before dinner and prepare the mashed potatoes. Easy Peasy and something my kiddos and Hubs will actually eat!
Heres the Recipe, enjoy!

I got the extremely awesome pleasure of wearing a Hot Mama Gown, this go around during labor! Owner Deidrea makes these beauties for every mama looking to be comfortable and practical, yet stylish at the same time. Each gown is handmade and is pure quality down to the very last detail. My favorite part of the gown is how easy it is to breastfeed in. I always felt like the hospital gowns that were given by the hospital were so uncomfortable and hard to get situated in. I felt naked in them and my bum is always showing, you are fumbling with it while going to the bathroom, laying down, trying to feed. Not in a Hot Mama Gown though! From the beginning of labor to my post partum recovery the gown has been a dream. So easy to walk around the hospital in, labor in and nurse in. The snap buttons on the back were easily undone to reach the epidural site.
I received the Cynthia, and was so pleased with the quality and the print. All of the nurses raved about how darling I looked in my gown. How nice is that while you are sweating and in pain? At least I looked adorable and fashionable right? LOVE! I have included a little info on the Cynthia below:
- 100% Organic Cotton dyed using only 100% natural or low-impact dyes
- Hospital / Birthing Center friendly with short sleeves and a full coverage snap-open back
- Two ribbon-tied panels allow for quick and easy access for discrete nursing
I’m so excited that I got to enjoy one of these gowns for my labor experience. I’m so thrilled that Hot Mama has a new gown design coming out, called the Genevieve. It is gorgeous and I know so many mamas who would LOVE to have this gown. Head on over to Hot Mama Gowns website to look at all these beauties and to receive news, giveaways and updates subscribe to the Hot Mama Newsletter and also “like” them on Facebook and twitter.
