Kidorable Review and Giveaway

Rain, rain go away come back another day? Not so much when you have Kidorable boots! What’s the fun in rain boots without the rain? I know my kids LOVE to splash in puddles and mud and it takes everything they have not to when they spot the perfect puddle to stomp into. That murky, brown, cool water just waiting there to be thrown all about in the air, onto your clothes and maybe even on your mom!

Kidorable offers a wonderful line of children’s products ranging from rain gear to bath time fun.  I love Kidorable, the products they offer are well made, colorful, and comfortable.

Each of the kids were sent a pair of boots of their choice. Ezra choose the Fireman and chose the Fairy boots for Finley  (In which when she found out he picked them for her, there may have been a HUGE hug and kiss and thank you to her little brother.)  And Miss Josie was a big girl and had to choose a pair for herself, it was a tough choice for her but she went with the Lucky Cat Boots. And I have never seen her so into something for so long in my life. Aaron and I were laughing so hard, I don’t think she took them off for 2 days and if she did she was carrying them along with her wherever she went. She even tried to wear them in the bath!

Kidorable is offering one of my readers a chance to win an Umbrella of their choice. Please visit Kidorable and come back here to leave a comment telling me what your choice of umbrella would be. For an extra entry (leave a separate comment) please like Kidorable on FB. Giveaway Ends Tuesday 10/22 winner will be announced that morning.

30 weeks

Well I guess I really haven’t talked much about this pregnancy.  It’s my fourth pregnancy so I feel like I’m not quite sure if there is anything I can add that I haven’t already said about my previous 3 pregnancies. This one has been slightly different. I definitely have had a few different and pretty awful symptoms that I have never experienced before. Amazing how each pregnancy can be different. I have had all the normal pregnancy symptoms. Nausea in the first trimester, heartburn in the second, cramping legs in the third. Yep, check, check and check. All have been slightly worse than any of the other pregnancies. Especially the heartburn. Oh the heartburn, has been awful acid reflux burning radiating through my back into my chest. AWFUL! So awful, that I can truly say “I’m happy we are done.” This is definitely our last baby, my last pregnancy ever. (Unless I ever live in a state that allows surrogacy, I would love to give someone this gift.)  There was one point where I loved being pregnant, up until my fourth pregnancy. Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate it. It’s really not that bad. For me anyway. Yeah I have some shitty and painful symptoms that make me want to cry and sometimes gross me out. But I can make humans and not everyone gets to do that, I have been blessed with a beautiful amazing gift and I’m pretty darn good at it. I mean look at the three I have already made, I’m pretty proud to say they are mine. Gorgeous, healthy, happy. God has truly blessed us and I’m so thankful for that and everyday I  get to spend with them, (even when I want to run away or lock myself in the bathroom) and I get to have one more! Another beautiful child, who I can only hope and pray is as perfect and healthy as my first three.  So yes, I’m a little sad I will never experience this again, never have a little one just to myself, feeling all his kicks and movements and hiccups. But to be honest I’m not sure how much more my body or sanity could handle!

I’m just starting to get into maternity clothes, Yes I know. I’m tiny. Wow, haven’t heard that one before! To be completely honest it’s pretty annoying when people ask if the baby is okay, unhealthy or if my doctor is concerned.  Yes baby is great, no not unhealthy but thanks for making me think this could be a possibility, and no my doctor is not concerned. This is my fourth child, every pregnancy has been the same size wise for me and my doctor also measures me each pregnancy and guess what?  I measure right now at 30 weeks and some days. And that’s exactly how far along I am.  Anyhow, end rant on people talking about my size! Begin, I HATE maternity clothes.  I have always had a hard time finding jeans normally so maternity jeans are a pain in the butt to find. They are more comfortable at times. But pulling them up all day because the bum is saggy or finding a pair long enough for my legs is no fun.  And the fact that I will only be in them for 10 weeks at the most is ridiculous given the cost of maternity clothing is outrageous.  I will say though, I love the shirts with nice little ruche action on the sides that do hide my love handles, cause even though my belly is small I have gained like 21 pounds already and I do have a little love handlage going on there so I’m down with those tops. And thank goodness it’s fall cause oversize sweaters that are not maternity are so nice to wear and I don’t feel as bad dropping money on clothes I can actually wear later.

So all that being said, I will have a baby in about 10 weeks or less! YAY, I cannot wait to see this kid and hold him and snuggle him up! I also love nursing, it’s such an amazing bond and I’m really looking forward to snuggling and nurturing my baby boy.

Zutano {Review & Giveaway}

Zutano

Little Bear

Surprise Surprise, that we have chosen to outfit our new little boy in Zutano for his coming home duds. I love Zutano. (Not that you didn’t know that, just thought I would tell you again.) Ever since I discovered Zutano in a local boutique over 6 years ago for Finley’s coming home outfit, I have been a little obsessed with this amazing Vermont based company. Zutano offers the cutest prints, beautiful color range and such a big and fun selection of wonderful  clothing for boys and girls. Not only are they cute but they are soft, durable and comfortable.DSC_0380

Both Finley and Ezra have grown out of Zutano, :::cue tears:::

Thankfully Josie is still in the brand and looks stunning in their clothing if I may say so myself. And I’m sure little boy will also be quite the little stud in the bright colors and fabulous prints.

Zutano has come out with their new fall line, which is adorable. I mean what do you expect? I don’t think they could ever disappoint me! We were sent a couple adorable outfits from the new Little Bear Line. The colors are warm and cozy for fall. I absolutely love the Cozie gear, the booties are one of my favorites. They stay on better than socks and baby can wear them all the time. I think Josie lived in them all winter and I plan on baby boy doing the same.

Ingenuity ConvertMe Swing-2-Seat Sahara Burst {Review & Giveaway}

DSC_0372

I love Ingenuity brand products. I almost always choose them when looking for a certain product, especially swings and bouncer chairs. They have really great quality products for just as great prices. I also like their designs and coloring. There is always a great neutral print to choose from and nothing too over the top or cheesy. I like simple and basic as far as coloring and characters go so their products always have a good selection for me to choose from.

I was in the market for a swing for baby number 4, we actually had a Ingenuity swing for Josie and loved it, but we sold it after she was done with it because we thought we were done with babies. So of course I went searching for another one. Ingenuity was kind enough to us this awesome new product, the ConvertMe Swing 2- seat. Its a two in one swing and bouncer seat. Which I really love that I can finally get rid of our old bouncer seat that we got with Finley and has definitely seen way better days, it served us well but it seriously needs to go. It’s also doubly awesome that I don’t have to buy two different products that will clutter our home. DSC_0371

This seat was super easy for me to assemble by myself, it took me maybe 15 minutes at the most and all I needed was one of the hubs screw drivers and that’s it.

I can’t wait to use this swing for our new little guy. Which should be making his arrival in just about 13 weeks, I cannot believe how quickly that has flown by. Which reminds me also that thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner as well!

ConvertMe 2 seat details:

Little Loves Designs Nursing Pillow Cover Review

Boppy Pillow Cover- Personalized Boppy Cover- Nautical Flag Print and Navy Minky Boppy Cover

One thing that I have used and will continue to use for my newborns is a boppy. I love it. It seriously is such a handy little pillow that can be used for so many things! I even use mine after baby is done with it has a nice back rest while I’m watching tv or reading a book in bed.

Little Loves Designs has started to create a  line of  nursing pillow covers, that are not only absolutely adorable, customizable, durable but also so easy to put on, and safe. Mandy, owner of little loves Designs, has designed her  covers without a zipper. See the zipper on most nursing pillow covers have been known to be a choking hazard. Mandy has taken that hazard and thrown it right out the window!

Boppy Pillow Cover- Personalized Boppy Cover- Cute Patchwork Print and Pale Pink Minky Boppy Cover

The video below is me, explaining and demonstrating how to put on the cover correcting and easily.

(and yes my head is kind of cut off in some of it, sorry!)

Stroller Spa

stroller

Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a handy little place to drop off your stroller after a major ice cream or sticky candy disaster to be cleaned and detailed? Or a place if you needed a quick repair to a tire or part on your stroller? Are you getting ready for another baby and need to clean up that stroller but don’t want to purchase a new one? Well there is just the place for all that! It’s called the Stroller Spa and it is located in a select few states in the US, there are 23 locations.

About Stroller Spa

jaime-stroller spa

In 2006 Jamie Mamikunian  had the desire to customize a stroller for her own child. She shared her embellishments with other parents in the San Francisco Bay area.

Mothers flocked to Jamie’s home not only customize their little ones’ sweet rides, but troubleshoot stroller problems – everything from broken brakes, bent chassis’, flat tires, torn fabric and more—Stroller Spa was born!   Stroller Spa then began cleaning and detailing strollers and car seats as more parents wanted a newly refurbished ride for their little ones, particularly subsequent children.

To better meet the needs of their growing customer base, Stroller Spa soon added The Stroller Exchange, Rental Services, and Bubble Wrapped! – Baby Gear Storage Solutions programs.

In 2011, after serving over 1,000 customers, Stroller Spa saw a way to fill a need for other moms to carve their own paths as business owners while still maintaining a presence in the home–that is how the franchise program began. Jamie travels the country training women (and men) on techniques and procedures.  Currently Stroller Spa has over 23 Detail & Repair Shop locations in the U.S. and Canada that serve  Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, California, Arizona, Texas, New York and New Jersey. The list keeps growing

The costs at Stroller Spa vary slightly by location. Stroller detail services run between approximately $39.00 & $125.00 and stroller repair services run between approximately $50.00 & $100.00 for common repairs such as brake cables, broken frames.

As an added bonus all shop owners will be Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians by December, 2013. At no charge, with any car seat service, Stroller Spa will consult with parents and advise them on the safest choices based on the age and size of your child, type of vehicle, etc.

I love that Jamie offers such an amazing and genius service to busy moms. I envy those who have access to such a great service close by. I know with 3 kids and one on the way this is definitely something I could use for our stroller and other baby gear we need to clean up and getting ready for use.

Jamie is offering my readers $5.00 off any cleaning service. Valid at all 23 locations.  Must be used by December 31, 2013.  One per family. Using the code Strollerfriend2013

Lets Talk Baby Names

Hillman baby # 4 is boy.

We are pretty thrilled about this. I again, was right on the guess. That makes me 4 for 4! Hubs, well he has been wrong every time.

We are super excited to be having another little guy to add to our family. Even things out a bit and give Ez a little buddy to play with.

Now we get to the baby naming, we have been throwing names around a bit before we found out what the gender of this cute little bub was, had a for sure boy name and had a good list of girl names.  But now we know we threw the original name out the window and re wrote our list. I think we are getting closer and closer to choosing but we have been adding and removing names from the list for the last few weeks.

Naming a baby is hard, I have always known this. But with our first 2 kidlets I felt like it came super easy to us. We had names we loved, we used them and that was that. Now and since I was pregnant with Josephine we had problems with deciding and sticking with that choice, so now we decided we will have lists throughout the whole pregnancy and then name him when we see him. Although this was my idea, I’m feeling a bit eager to just choose. But I get bored easily and I don’t want to get bored with the name and then have to go back to searching and compile a new list.

We like different names, not weird crazy, not “they named their baby WHAT?” names, but underused names with a little flair. Not trendy, not too out there, nothing fruit inspired and we definitely won’t be using our babies name for a punch line or anything. North…? NORTH WEST anyone? I mean who does that…oh that’s right. The worlds most self involved celebs out there! That’s like us naming our baby Climb A. Hillman. Oy.

We aren’t sharing any of the names we have had on our list and will not be sharing the name until birth, that is if I ever actually choose a name! Feel free to share any and all your favorite boy names in the comments. We could always use the inspiration.
